Esquire Meals presents “dine” on Saturday, November 18th in Baltimore, Maryland hosted by Owner Chef Kenneth Watson. Esquire Meals is a meal prep company based out of Baltimore, Maryland. One would think I have had my fair share of events in Baltimore, however “dine” was scheduled first after my horrible debacle with some other group not worth mentioning. 🤦🏾♀️ Anyway . . . attending “dine” was one night to remember! Chef Kenneth was flattered that a food blogger was interested in attending his event. I must say, I was pleased he allowed me to be apart of such an amazing experience. After receiving the details of the event, I was worried that I wouldn’t have anything in my wardrobe to wear for his “Black Royalty” dinner. Especially since I lost a ton of weight over the summer, but my red dress came in handy without me shopping and stressing over an outfit. I was nervous upon arrival surprisingly. But after the warm welcome from Chef Kenneth and guests, I wiped my forehead and began to enjoy the night.
Cocktail hour began promptly at 7pm with dinner to follow. Champagne, wine and specialty drinks were flowing with passed hor d’oeuvres to get the night started. Prior to our arrival at “dine,” Chef Kenneth and staff sent us the menu for the evening; embarking us on his journey to the “Past, Present and Future.” We had the option to choose from the following (T-Mac dinner options are bolded below):
Sundried Tomato Shrimp with Arancini
Pear & Arugula Salad in Parmesan Cup
Italian Herb Cornish Hen, Braised Green Beans, Rosemary Sweet Potatoes
Pistachio Crusted Salmon, Lemon Glazed Asparagus, Harvest Grain Blend
Red Velvet Cake
Dinner was absolutely AH-MAZING!! Juicy, succulent, delicious . . . I mean what else could I say? I didn’t eat it all, because I had to save room for that awesome and I do mean AWESOME Red Velvet Cake that came dancing down the aisle. When I saw the portion of the cake, I thought, “who’s eating that?”😆 It was big enough for everyone to eat at the table! Honestly, Chef Kenneth could’ve sat 2 cakes on the table and we all would have enjoyed it equally! Basically, we were stuffed by the end of the night . . . HA!
I have a confession foodies; “dine” was my favorite event to date! Why? It was intimate, cozy, fun, and elegant. The ambiance was beautiful. The conversation amongst diners were funny, yet interesting as if we have been friends for a lifetime. Chef Kenneth displayed professionalism from beginning to end all the while being true to himself. First impressions are lasting impressions and Chef Kenneth will always be remembered! I enjoyed everyone from his staff to his guests. His storytelling took me on this journey of how much he enjoyed food from an adolescent to adulthood. Chef Kenneth stories were reminiscent of how I ate as a kid at my grandparent’s house. Everything was fried, cooked well done and borderline unhealthy!!! 😂 Thank God, we both opened our eyes and were opened to other options! I may not eat as healthy as he . . . but you get my point!
After dinner, the fellowship began! It’s party time . . . oh it’s party time! We laughed, hugged, and danced the evening away! Made some new connections and hopefully long lasting relationships too. I really can’t express it enough and excuse my redundancy, but I had a fabulous time! 🎉🎉🎉
